6.Questions

Good to know

Is Raging Studio really free?

Yes. No subscription, no ads, no paid version. Raging Page and Raging Draw are open source.

Do I need an account?

No. Open a tool and start. The only optional sign-in is Google, if you want a copy on your Drive.

Is Raging Page a free alternative to Final Draft?

Yes. Raging Page formats your screenplay to industry standards and imports and exports .fdx, the format read by Final Draft, WriterDuet, Fade In and most productions.

Can I print the posters I make?

Yes. Raging Draw exports a PDF at the poster’s actual size, up to 300 dpi, ready for any printer.

Where is my work saved?

In your browser, on your computer, automatically. Clearing your browser data erases it, so keep a file copy now and then.

Can I switch computers?

Yes: save your project file (.smmproj or .rdraw) and open it from the tool’s home screen on the other computer, or use Google Drive.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes, but the tools are designed for a computer first. They need the internet for fonts.

Found a bug or have an idea?

Tell us on GitHub. Raging Studio is made by a filmmaker, in the open, and gets better with your feedback.

Step-by-step help for each tool in the guide.
